Antique Hand Carved Black Forest Cheroot Holder Pipe, Dog, Hound Faience Marie-AntoinetteA wonderful little bit of hand carved wood from the 19th century carvers of the Black Forest region of Europe. This is a cheroot holder, or small pipe made to hold the smallish cigars called 'cheroot'. The carved pipe like holder is a working pipe, not just an ornament. But with a wonderful dog carved so nicely up top, one might find it move appealing to display it for the work of art it is. Very good to excellent condition. I have just noticed on our
